Seymour Center show in Chapel Hill, NC

Two of my paintings are currently hanging in a PSNC member show in Chapel Hill. We have many talented artists displaying artwork, most of which is for sale, so check it out if you are in the area.

The address is 2551 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, NC and the show runs until September 20, 2007.

backyard pansy

After a long hiatus (two months, eeep!) from drawing in my moleskine, I completed another drawing of a red pansy from our backyard this afternoon. Most of the blooms were eaten by squirrels, save for the purple ones (odd?), so I was happy to capture this dark red one when I had the chance.

Each pansy flower seems to have it’s own personality, which is probably why I never tire of painting them!

As always, feel free to check out my other moleskine drawings in my flickr set.

welcome!

In an effort to revive my daily creating habit, I am starting this blog. I hope to post a few times a week here as this space will be a place for me to record what projects I am working on, any articles I find interesting, and hopefully some demonstrations and works in progress in the near future.
